1. Choose the correct dakimakura size
Start by deciding which finished cover size you need. DakiCustomize offers common dakimakura sizes such as 150×50cm, 160×50cm, and 180×60cm. If you already own a pillow insert, measure it before ordering because the insert and cover should match.

2. Select the fabric
Peach Skin is smooth, lightweight, and budget-friendly. 2WAY Tricot is softer and stretchier, making it the better choice when premium feel and fine print detail matter most.

3. Decide whether you need a pillow insert
The custom dakimakura product is a printed pillow cover. The inner pillow insert is sold separately. If you need a new insert, choose the same width and length as your cover.

4. Prepare the artwork file
Recommended file setup:
- Format: PNG preferred, or high-quality JPG
- Resolution: 300 DPI at final print size is recommended
- Color mode: RGB
- Layout: Keep important details away from seams and bleed areas
For a 160×50cm cover at 300 DPI, the approximate print-size canvas is 18,898 × 5,906 pixels. Lower-resolution files may produce softer or pixelated prints.

5. Submit a usable artwork file
Use the available upload or contact method shown during your order. If you send a file link by email, include your order number and make sure the file can be opened and downloaded.
Avoid screenshots, compressed messaging-app images, and private links that require special account access. Our pre-production file check looks for obvious issues such as low resolution or layout risk, but it is not a full design, retouching, or color-proofing service.
6. Check timing before you order
Production usually takes 2-4 business days after a usable file is received. Shipping usually takes 7-10 business days after production is complete. Production time and shipping time are separate.
