Ordering a Custom Dakimakura as a Gift: What to Check

Find out what they would actually use

Ask about the character, outfit or version they like. Someone may love a character and still prefer a subtle, fully clothed illustration over a particular pose. If you are planning a surprise, ask about their collection and room setup without choosing the design for them.

For an OC gift, use the owner’s current reference and confirm that they are happy for it to become a printed item. If you commission artwork, agree on personal printing permission and delivery files with the artist.

Check the insert before choosing a cover

DakiCustomize’s custom listing is for the pillowcase; the insert is sold separately. If the recipient already owns one, match both its length and width. Do not choose 160 cm simply because it is described as popular.

Our listed covers are 137 × 50, 150 × 50, 160 × 50, and 180 × 60 cm. Matching inserts are sold separately in all four sizes. Allow time for the artwork and delivery

If the drawing is not finished, include the artist’s schedule before the printing schedule. Send the original front and back exports and check the files before submitting them.

Production usually takes 2–4 business days after payment and receipt of usable artwork. Delivery usually takes another 7–10 business days after dispatch. Those are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates. Our shipping guide explains what to check for a deadline.

Orders use plain, unbranded packaging. If you need the parcel sent somewhere else to keep a surprise, enter the correct address at checkout.

Before paying, confirm the design, matching size, fabric, insert and delivered total. Custom orders are not returnable simply because the recipient changes their mind; check the order-change and return policy.
