Front and Back Dakimakura Files: A Final Delivery Checklist

By DakiCustomize Production Team Last updated

Make one final export for each intended side

Open both exports rather than judging them from thumbnails. Check the character, outfit, background and any text. If one side was revised, make sure the older version isn't still in the delivery folder.

Simple names work: Character_Front_Final.png and Character_Back_Final.png. “Front” and “back” are production instructions here; they don't require the character to face forward on one side and away on the other.

If the same illustration should be repeated, confirm the arrangement first and state it explicitly. A missing second file is not an instruction.

Compare the two files side by side

  • Are they prepared for the same chosen cover dimensions?
  • Is the orientation intentional on each side?
  • Are faces, text and key details placed as intended?
  • Have reference overlays and editing notes been hidden?
  • Do the filenames agree with the written instructions?

The image resolution guide covers pixel requirements. Use the artwork preparation guide for the broader file check rather than squeezing those tutorials into your order notes.

Send the actual exports, not just a preview

Keep your layered master for future edits. For the printer, use the accepted export format and delivery method. Don't assume that a Photoshop, illustration-app or cloud-project file can be processed directly.

If you share a download link, test its permissions. The recipient needs access to the intended files, not your entire personal drive. Avoid links that expire before the files can be checked.

Keep a copy of what you sent, together with the side instructions. If you need to change a submitted version, contact the seller rather than silently replacing files and assuming the update was noticed.
