However, ordering the largest size available without considering your room layout or your image's aspect ratio can lead to cropped artwork or awkward empty spaces. Here is our pre-press team's guide to measuring your wall and preparing your files for a flawless custom tapestry.
1. Measure the Wall Space You Will Actually See
Start with the intended location, not the size chart. Measure the clear space between nearby shelves, windows, and existing room decor. A massive blank living room wall and a narrow space above a gaming desk call for very different choices.
Crucially, think about what stays in front of the tapestry. A PC monitor, a bed headboard, or a gaming chair may cover the lower section of the fabric even when it fits perfectly on the wall. Note that "covered area" before deciding where your character's face, logo, or other important details should sit in your design.
2. Compare the Available Proportions
The key distinction in tapestry sizing is not just small versus large—it is about the aspect ratio (proportion). DakiCustomize currently lists four core size options. A composition that fits a 60 × 40 tapestry has the exact same shape as a 90 × 60, but it will need a different crop or additional background art to fill a 60 × 50 without distortion.

- File Requirements: We strongly recommend submitting files in RGB color mode at a genuine 300 DPI resolution, preferably in a lossless PNG format. A layout preview helps you judge the composition, but a low-resolution thumbnail will still look blurry when printed at wall size.
- Our Pre-Press Policy: While our team checks for obvious production issues (like extreme pixelation), we do not offer design editing, background extensions, or redrawing services. If your crop removes something you want to keep, you must adjust the file or ask your original artist for a wider background before submitting.
4. Preview the Placement in Your Room
Before ordering, mark your proposed tapestry corners on your wall using removable paper markers or painter's tape. Step back to your normal viewing position to test the scale against your furniture.
For VTubers and Streamers: Check the outline through your webcam! Your chair, your body, and the camera crop may hide areas of the tapestry that look completely visible from elsewhere in the room. Position your most important branding within the frame your viewers will actually see.
